My research is made up of gestures, moments, instants, silences. The layering of time fixes paint on paper, so that the process can take its course. I don’t have absolute control over form; I’d like to take control over the uncontrollable, a challenge that leads me to play with forms and sensations in becoming. My work centers on the idea of unpredictability, a poetic and dramatic gesture which has a life of its own. I constantly explore new harmonic proportions between water (the vital element) and pigments (matter), I seek transformation and I make it happen, never forcing it. My combinations are made of blending and tension, transparencies and dense coats, that allow an almost unconscious language to emerge.
